You may want to check this out. I have personally attended TMS three times. Each was more than worthwhile. They are well run and in addition to discovering a site you might now travel, you meet with tourism representatives who are anxious to learn about how you can work together. Once again Travel Media Showcase will bring together leading travel media to meet with representatives from major national and international destinations in a highly organized, business-like format, involving pre-scheduled one-on-one appointments. The Sioux Falls Convention & Visitors Bureau is going all-out to showcase the area and have put together an exciting list of regional fam tours.

 

All media must pre-qualify to apply for TMS 2012. You can do so on our website (http://www.travelmediashowcase.com/journalists/pre-qualification.php). The pre-qualification process will confirm that all necessary criteria for applying have been met. If so, you will be forwarded a Member ID and Password to fill out your official application for this year’s event.

IFWTWA Board Member and Phoenix Tourism Official Named to Public Relations Board of Directors

PHOENIX (Jan. 19, 2012) Douglas MacKenzie, the communications director for the Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Phoenix chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. MacKenzie previously served on the Board and as President of the national PRSA’s Travel and Tourism group. He has been with the Greater Phoenix CVB more than ten years.

The Phoenix chapter is one of the largest in the nation, serving more than 300 public relations and communications professionals. “I am excited about serving in a Public Relations capacity that helps us promote our attractive and vibrant destination, said Doug MacKenzie.

Shares stage with 2012 Chicago Travel & Adventure Show
Diamond Bar, CA (Dec. 2011) The International Food Wine and Travel Writers Association (IFWTWA) announces its participation in the January 28-29, 2012 Chicago Travel & Adventure Show.The Travel & Adventure Show returns to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center showcasing more than 400 exhibitors, amazing trip giveaways, travel tips from the experts including travel legendSamantha Brown, Patricia Schultz, Maralyn Hill (IFWTWA President)  and more. Attendees can experience scuba diving, ride camels, see cultural performances and test their taste buds at the fiery foods challenge. The biggest show of its kind in the Mid West, this is THE place for the serious traveler. It opens at the Convention Center on Saturday, January 28, from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and Sunday, January 29, from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
