WineTime, Chocolais, and Cat Cora’s Olive Oil Were a Big Hit

Monday, July 18th, 2011 — posted by Maralyn D. Hill

WineTime Bars

I chose to share my coveted WineTime Bars, Chocolais Wine, and Cat Cora’s Olive Oil with

Cats Cora Olive Oil

another writer. Or, I should say, I shared Norm’s. In any case, here is her response.

Dear Maralyn,

I want to tell you how your care package enhanced my weekend.  Yesterday, I went on a 30 mile bike ride and a WineTime bar gave me the energy needed not just to get through the ride, but through a “Pickle Tasting Party” later in the day where the  Chocolais was a huge hit!  I then made dinner for my beloved with Cat Cora’s olive oil – delicious.  Who knew? Pickles and chocolate flavored wine?

Chocolais

…Thank you so much for the thoughtful gift.  I love it!

Brainard’s Natural Remedies: Blueberry Antacid Chewable Tablets

Friday, July 15th, 2011 — posted by Michelle M. Winner

“All Natural” and  “ with absorbable  minerals”  the cute  little purple  tube of antacids boasts.

Brainard's Remedies Blueberry Antacid is a new favorite!

Made in the USA and with a patent pending , Brainards debuts this product just in time for me  on  a recent  the cruise.  With so much  wine and food consumed at our “IFWTWA 2011 Conference at Sea ” on board Holland America’s  Westerdam , these little purple  tablets coud not have been better timed.  Lucky to have found them on one of the first nights of the cruise. They work!   From the website : ”  According to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), 15 million people suffer from heartburn. Brainard’s Natural Remedies blueberry antacid tablets neutralizes excess stomach acid and helps relieve occasional indigestion, while maintaining healthy stomach acids that the body needs for digestion. ”

I also  want to share a comment by  our 2011 IFWTWA Scholarship winner  Heather  Carreiro, ” I wish I had these when  I was pregnant! Such bad heartburn and I I was always looking  for natural   relief. I’ll recommend this product to my friends and family”~ Heather

Marich Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Cashews- pure art!

Wednesday, July 13th, 2011 — posted by Michelle M. Winner

Marich Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Cashews for the discriminating Choc-a-holic!

At 72%   Cacao,  you are  speaking to my preferred percentile.  A boutique confectionery  out of Hollister, California,  the  multi-generational family confectionery company Marich  Confectionery Co. has  a top-notch pedigree.

Six decades ago young Marinus van Dam   learned the art of  candy-making  in Holland.   Today Troy and Brad, his sons  continue the legacy and produce  a  bombastic  catalog  of  divine  creations.  What say you to  a curry  and white  chocolate   stunner  called  “Coconut Curry Cashews”?  Or  how do you think the  “White Chocolate  Gingerbread” or the “Pumpkin Spice  Caramels ” will taste? Unusual  combinations like these work and in a magnificent way -  so much so  that for the Coconut Curry  Cashews … we had to raffle the rest off  on our  IFWTWA Conference Cruise aboard Holland America to avoid a stampede  of food and wine  writers after  we found that they pair well with white  wine at a tasting!

Ah  back to the  Dark Chocolate  Sea Salt Cashews. They are  divine.  The  size of the cashew has enough real estate   cloaked in chocolate  to impart the  full measure of almost bitter chocolate  to into the bite of the sea salt.  A developed palate will appreciate these. And  a more perfect  after dinner  treat with a dessert wine for summer I cannot imagine.

Reading the ingredient label helps you recognize the  quality by  the single note  ingredients  and  the absence of  chemicals.  www.Marich.com . Highly recommended.

Dodo Organics Daily Facial Serum – Product Review

Tuesday, July 12th, 2011 — posted by Brenda C. Hill

DoDo Organics Daily Facial Serum

On our IFWTWA Conference at Sea, I was given the most fragrant and effective product, Dodo Organics, daily facial serum.

My poor skin lives in the heat of Florida and sometimes the dry desert in California. Besides these skin drying conditions, I travel by air and swim in salt water and chlorine pools.

This amazing organic product brought my face back to life after one application. I gently applied it at 4 p.m. and received two compliments before 5 p.m.

I looked more fresh and youthful. I smelled good too Made with rose hip, primrose and the essential oils of sweet orange and wild carrot, my face was moist and healthful looking.

Thank you Dodo Organics.

USDA Organic approved.
